Synopse
In this historical satire, a rebellious servant leads a revolt against his wealthy employer. 1918. A journalist and his wife seek refuge from the Spanish flu in their house by the sea. With them are their servants, including a mysterious con man they have engaged as cook. But when the epidemic breaks out around them, the family and the staff are cut off and have to fight like shipwrecked sailors to survive. The new cook sees an opportunity to get his colleagues to rethink their position and take over the house. And soon war breaks out to decide who is in charge.

AUSTIN STARK (*1979 in New York City) is an American producer and director. His last film The God Committee (2021) premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. JOSEPH SCHUMAN studied English Literature at Columbia College and Film at the NYU. Coup! is his directorial debut.
