Synopse
RECOMMENDED FROM AGE 6: Tobias doesn't really like going to school. His very pregnant form teacher Frau Sanne can't deal with cheeky Class 2B at all and the stupid head Frau Dreus seems to be running a vendetta against Tobias and his best mate Sep. For all that, Tobias is clever and funny. OK, there are a few problems at home and his mother refuses to get out of bed, but he doesn't want to think about that at school. One day, a supply teacher turns up. Shy Herr Kees, who hasn't even finished his teacher training yet, is almost to be pitied! The class, however, quickly take to him and his unconventional teaching methods. Tobias, too, begins to open up and makes friends with the young man. Herr Kees quickly becomes the class' favourite teacher, because every biology lesson he turns the classroom into a jungle. They go on trips together and he even gives lessons in burping! But do his teaching methods meet with the approval of the head? And to make matters more complicated, an inspection by the eductaion authority is due... Barbara Bredero portrays the events in the classroom in a cleverly designed film full of imagination and humour. The children and their young teacher discover the world together and the story is based on a successful series of Dutch children's books by Mirjam Oldenhave, which have also been translated into German for years.
