Synopse

A dazzling family mosaic and a nostalgic declaration of love for the Christmas rituals of American suburbia. The Italo-American family Balsano comes together for what may be the very last celebration at the family home on Long Island. Four generations doing what they always at this time of year: arguing and making up at the dinner table, eating and drinking too much, keeping up strange old traditions and inventing new ones, dozing in wing-backed chairs, creeping out of the house to meet up with friends. A homage of unlimited devotion to the kitschy pleasures of suburban excess and an ode to the place where one’s life began.
