Synopse
Seven young directors and scriptwriter Yann Le Gal are tracing the lives of legends of directing Fritz Lang, Orson Welles, Jacques Tati, Jean Renoir, Alfred Hitchcock and Ingmar Bergman back as far as they can. The question: can an incident in his childhood explain a director's whole œuvre? We meet little Fritz Lang in anti-Semite Vienna, clumsy teenager Jacques Tati cracking his first joke, and the late Ingmar Bergman, as a jealous older brother.
