Synopse
Walter Stürm is seen as the break-out king of Switzerland and was an idol of the left. The film portrays the criminal legend – and the very special relationship he had with his lawyer. No door, no safe was safe from him. And no prison. Between 1974 and 1995 Walter Stürm (Joel Basman) broke out of prison eight times, the price was years of solitary confinement. This drew the attention of the left-wing political scene. An idealistic lawyer Barbara Hug (Marie Leuenberger) would like to use his popularity to reform the antiquated Swiss penal system. But the less Stürm bends to her logic, the more she falls under the spell of his categoric desire for freedom.
