Synopse
In her debut feature, Australian artist Del Kathryn Barton combines live action with puppetry and animation, and uses fascinating imagery to dive deep into a girl’s emotional landscape. 12-year old Blaze is lovingly brought up by her father and lives in her own imaginary cocoon. When she witnesses a brutal crime in the street, she returns home shattered and tries to comprehend what she has seen in terms of her childish naïvety. In the face of Luke, trying to do what he thinks best for his daughter, police stations, doctors’ diagnoses, therapists and lawyers, Blaze escapes into her own lively imagination.
