Synopse

The orca bull Tilikum was caught in 1983 aged about two. Since then, it has been appearing in a theme park show – and has already killed several people. As whales never usually attack humans in the wild, what exactly went wrong with this animal? Using hitherto unseen footage, Blackfish tells the story of Tilikum and, with biologists and whale experts, takes a look at the gruesome practices in theme parks and whale shows. The film shows how little we humans have learned from these highly intelligent, sensitive mammals. Right up to the last minute, park operator SeaWorld tried to prevent Blackfish being released.
