Synopse
For 40 years, Esfandiari has been preparing corpses for burial in the central Iranian town of Sedeh, where gravestones from the 12th century stand alongside recent ones from the Iran-Irak war. One day, Esfandiari suddenly feels ill when making preparations for a funeral. For the first time, he starts to think about his own death… A wonderful and poetic debut, a mixture of documentary and fiction, with all parts played by non-actors from Sedeh. Nominated for the Hamburg Film Critics Award!
