Synopse
Bill Cunningham is the 80+ New York Times photographer who, for decades, has been obsessively and inventively chronicling fashion trends and high society charity soirées for his two weekly columns. Still, no one knows a thing about Bill, the man himself. Intensely private and averse to any kind of attention, it took Richard Press years to convince Bill to be filmed. He turned out a delicate, funny and often poignant portrait of a dedicated artist whose only wealth is his own humanity and unassuming grace.
Regie
Richard Press has written and directed several award-winning short films including 2÷3, which received a jury prize at the Berlin International Film Festival. BCNY is Press’ first feature film.
