Synopse
A debut film that examines the cross-generational trauma of Ruanda. A moving portrait full of empathy and humanity. Ruanda, 2012. The country wakes from the silence that followed the civil war and genocide against the Tutsis in 1994. People’s courts are organized in the search for justice and reconciliation. Vénéranda, a survivor, is convinced of the necessity of such hearings. She moderates the dialogue between the victims and the families of the perpetrators and helps others to rebuild their lives. But when her own wounds are reopened, she has to face the dark side of her past.
