Synopse
Shortly before retiring, prosecutor Mehlhorn (Hansjürgen Hürrig) invites Bella Block to dinner in order to ask her help in a tricky case. But before he can take her into his confidence, he is murdered. The investigation leads Inspector Schnaak (Rainer Bock) and Bella to a morass of corruption and abuse of office in the Hamburg judiciary and a state housing association. Who did Mehlhorn get on the wrong side of? Bella discovers explosive information in his confidential papers: a state director of construction and his sister, a well-known family court judge, a notorious property lawyer and Mehlhorn's own superior, the Hamburg state prosecutor, are all involved in criminal machinations.

RAINER KAUFMANN (*1959). His cinema and TV films such as Talk of the Town (1995), The Pharmacist (1997) or Maria's Last Journey (2005) have won numerous awards. Bella Block und das Böse is his third film in the Bella Block canon.
