Synopse
Summer in Coney Island. Teenager Frankie is a drifter: during the day, he hangs with his friends on the beach, smoking weed. But neither his macho buddies nor Simone, with whom he begins an affair, seem to really interest him. The only place where Frankie can speak about his sexual desires is a chat room where he spends his nights corresponding with older men. When he starts meeting people he knows from the Net, his friends are in danger of finding out his secret and Frankie has to take a radical decision. Beach Rats is an intense, explosive portrait of a young generation. The film won the prize for Best Direction at Sundance.
