Synopse
Nicolas Cage, Eva Mendez, Val Kilmer– the thriller Werner Herzog boasts a veritable star cast. Detective Terence McDonagh (Cage), of New Orleans Homicide, saves an inmate from drowning in the midst of hurricane “Katrina”, and is promoted to lieutenant. But he injured his back so badly, he can only work under drugs. Soon his lifecentres on addiction. As he pursues the drug dealer Big Fate, who massacred an African family, it seems that solving the case will bring about his own salvation. Set in a city in ruins, Herzog presents the protagonists’ inner selves as their real threat.
