Synopse
Please like me: a satirical drama in which social media and reality collide. 16-year old Luca (Maja Bons) is an influencer. She has been in the spotlight since the day she was born and is the star of her parents’ social media business which, thanks to four million followers, is pretty lucrative. But when her parents decide to have another child, the situation changes. Luca feels betrayed and fears that her parents’ attention is linked to her performance for the family account. The young woman plunges into depression and begins to grasp show little of herself she has left – and tries to struggle free of heteronomy and purchasability.
Regie
After his Abitur, JOSCHA BONGARD worked for the YouTube channel network TubeOne. In 2017, he began studying film direction at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. His documentary Pornfluencer was released in 2022. Babystar was his graduation film.
