Synopse
This short Polish documentary shows previously unseen images of East-West German history, shot in Poland October 10 to 20, 1989, just before the fall of the Berlin Wall. The exodus of GDR citizens had begun that summer. The film shows refugees who reached the West German embassy in Warsaw, communicating for the first time – in public as in private – about life in East Germany, explaining the reasons for their flight. They are afraid, and without posessions, but with a newly gained sense of security.
