Synopse
DOCUMENTARY The German Jew Ruth Westheimer rose to become a cult sex therapist in the USA: a warm portrait of a humorous taboo-breaker. When Holocaust survivor Ruth Westheimer began broadcasting her radio show "Sexually Speaking" at the beginning of the 1980s, a whole country pricked up its ears. No-one had ever spoken about sex so intelligently, uninhibitedly and wittily – and with an unmistakably German accent that soon became her trademark. Born in Frankfurt, Westheimer emigrated to the USA in the mid-1950s and is still an icon of anti-prudishness, a bubbly 91-year old full of vitality who can look back on an eventful life story.
