Synopse
Aro berria – Basque for "new age" – is a sensitive observation of Spanish idealists testing the radical boundaries of the time after the death of Franco. A gripping, multi-layered ensemble piece. 1978 in San Sebastián. The trades union in a water meter factory has just negotiated a new deal that leaves their most extreme members disappointed. A few leftists leave the factory and join a remote community in the mountains, where dozens of young people are searching for new spiritual and sexual practices via shared cathartic experiences.
