Synopse

The musical collage about and with German artist Jonathan Meese is presenting artificial worlds, old and new masters, animals and music. Artists and musicians like Bazon Brock, Blixa Bargeld, Neo Rauch, Dieter Meier, Georg Baselitz, Jonas Mekas, Peter Weibel make their appearences in locations around the world (Paris, Barcelona, Bangalore, New York, L.A. and Hamburg among them) just like monkeys, alligators, ants, elephants, vultures, giraffes, lions, horses, cows, snakes, butterflies. A colourful cinema feast for the senses.

Regie

Since 1981, PETER SEMPEL (*1954) has been making films about artists, including Blixa Bargeld and Nick Cave (Dandy, 1988), Bazon Brock, Jonas Mekas, Kazuo Ohno, Ginsberg, Nina Hagen, Flamenco, Lemmy, Jonathan Meese, the art world and jazz musician Peter Brötzmann.
