Synopse
Palestinian single mother Muna Faraha (Nisreen Faour) had completely forgotten about the green card application when it gets accepted. Unwillingly, she makes her way to the land of opportunities, where she must sell burgers in rural Illinois and where her son is treated as a terrorist by his fellow pupils. A melancholy comedy about migrant children in the first generation, torn between their ethnic roots and the Western world.
Regie
Cherien Dabis, born in 1976, director and writer. After"Make A Wish" (2006) "Amreeka" is her second film.
