Synopse
This sensitive drama about migration illustrates not just loneliness in alien places but also the gap that is left back home. Nine years ago, Amin emigrated from Senegal to France to give his family the chance of a better standard of living. Amin's everyday life now consists of work, his social life is limited to doing things with other inhabitants of the hostel. Once a year, he returns home to find an ambivalent world – from financial expectancy to feeling nurtured. His wife Aïsha has come to terms with the situation, but being away from home is a burden for Amin. When one day he meets Gabrielle, an affluent employer, his loyalty is sorely tested – and he succumbs to temptation.
