Synopse

His own life was no less fascinating, but also tragic and full of privation. He contracted malaria on an early expedition, was a failure as the director of Hamburg zoo and suffered many personal setbacks. Narrated by Roger Willemsen and with reenacted scenes and opulent documentary animal footage, this docudrama presents a lively impression of Alfred Brehm's passion for his work as a naturalist and the currency of his legacy.
