Synopse
Fatima is a teacher and lives a liberal, Western lifestyle in Karachi, Pakistan's biggest city. She is very upset when she learns that her former nanny Nusrat has disappeared without trace. Nusrat was last seen in her home village deep in the heart of the country, where she looked after orphans. Ignoring the wishes and pleas of her family, Fatima travels to the remote region to find out what happened. There she discovers a medieval, feudal society where the male elites have all the rights on their side and the women have none. The closer Fatima gets to the reason for Nusrat's disappearance, the more dangerous her own situation becomes.
