Synopse

A group of very different people have booked a week in a "self-awareness" camp. Each is anticipating something different: some are expecting yoga sessions, others a dialogue with God, one wants to work on world revolution, another to enjoy her newly-won single status. On their arrival, it turns out that the reality is very different from the promotional video: no sign of horses galloping into the sunset and the camp itself is a simple wooden hut. When shortly afterwards the coach takes his leave, the motley crew is left to its own devices. An unusual dynamic develops with bizarre conversations and unexpected coalitions. A wonderful screwball comedy which was a box-office smash in Finland.

JOHANNA VUOKSENMAA (*1965) has won several awards for her films and screenplays. Her last-but-one film 21 Ways to Ruin a Marriage was a big hit at FILMFEST HAMBURG n 2013.
