Synopse
13-year-old Rafael (Alejandro Tocar) comes from a Montevidean upper-class Jewish family. He takes piano lessons, has a beautician take care of his spots and utterly lacks self-confidence. Although no longer a virgin, he has never kissed a girl, requiring true love as a prerequisite. His adoration for classmate Nicole remains fruitless and he discusses his problem with friends Andy and Rony. An rare insight into the Jewish community of Uruguay and a bittersweet comedy about the pitfalls of growing up.

FEDERICO VEIROJ (*1976) is a director, screenplay writer and producer. Since his tragi-comic debut Acné that was shown at FILMFEST HAMBURG in 2008, he has established himself as a distinctive voice in Uruguayan cinema. His films A Useful Life (2010) und The Apostate (2015) were also shown at FILMFEST HAMBURG
