Synopse
Set in the early 60s, Nils Malmros’ film centres on the romantic couple Jonas and Agnete, on their friendship, efforts and temptations. Jonas fails to give Agnete the attention she seeks, and when she falls in love with someone else, he experiences the cold stab of jealousy and the whole range of emotions brought about by an aching heart. Malmros worked with very young actors over the course of three years. The audience not only witnesses the changes undergone by Jonas and Agnete, but also those undergone by the adolescent actors.
