Synopse

DOCUMENTARY Knock, knock – Who’s there? Guido Hendrikx and his minimalistic approach ignores the conventions of documentary film-making. A strange being roams the Dutch hinterland pointing its camera at anything it encounters. Then it comes to a door. How will the region‘s inhabitants react when they see a stray cameraman before them? Amusing and disturbing, everyday and at the same time unconventional, Guido Hendrikx‘s film experiments are always surprising and provocative: a subversion of the usual documentary power dynamic, an examination of human nature, a rendezvous with reality.

Regie

GUIDO HENDRIKX (*1987) studied documentary film-making at the Nederlandse Film en Televisie Academie in Amsterdam and won acclaim with his debut film Stranger in Paradise (2017). A Man and a Camera is his second full-length film.
