Synopse
An elegant neo-film noir that slinks through Singapore by night and explores the shadowy existence of itinerant workers on the fringes of society. Detective Lok's task is to find an invisible man: the Chinese worker Wang, who works on one of the countless land reclamation sites in Singapore, has disappeared. Lok begins his search in the mushrooming metropolis and finds himself in fluid worlds where orientation is difficult. Disguised as a classical thriller, A Land Imagined meditates about placelessness and transient identities in one of the hearts of global capitalism. The film won the Golden Leopard in Locarno.
