Synopse

Widower Lionel (Alex Descas) single-handedly raised his daughter Joséphine (Mati Diop). Now she is a grown-up and he sees that he must let her go. But he fears change and Joséphine herself questions whether anyone will ever love her as much as he. "35 rums" is a German-French-Belgian co-production shot last autumn in Paris and Lübeck. A sensitive study of growing up and growing older, of hope and loss. Or in the words of director Claire Denis: "It is a film about love."
