Synopse
A climate of fear: this Chilean drama tells of one woman’s confrontation with the inhumanity and corruption of the Pinochet era. Chile, 1976. The regime of Augusto Pinochet has been in power for three years. Carmen is busy renovating her beach house in the coastal town of Las Cruces. Her husband, children and grandchildren drop in from time to time during the winter holidays. When the local vicar asks her to look after an injured young man whom he has been secretly taking care of, Carmen enters new, dangerous territory – far removed from the peaceful life she is used to.
