Story
DOCUMENTARY This portrait of two brothers in New Delhi interweaves the men’s vocation as rescuers of birds of prey with observations on the political situation of minorities. The camera creeps along the ground, follows dogs, rats and insects on their way through the darkness, creating a cartography of the different worlds in one of the most densely populated cities in the world. Then we see the flying creatures that fall every day from the smog-filled sky and are cared for by the Muslim brothers Nadeem and Saud in their provisional bird hospital. In fascinating pictures, the film shows us a city where all life is threatened by pollution and rioting.
