Story

Love vesus addiction: a drama about a widespread illness. »I’m afraid your daughter is anorexic!« The diagnosis is a shock for Susanne (Anja Kling) and Peter (Oliver Mommsen), the parents of 16-year old Lara, who tries everything to keep her condition secret. An exhausting battle against the illness begins for her family, one that comes to dominate daily life. Lara‘s self-destructive streak make Susanne and Peter increasingly desperate, but they don’t give up and support their daughter with self-sacrifice and devotion.

Director

CHRISTINA SCHIEWE (*1980) studied at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg and has made several prize-winning shorts. Her debut feature Be My Baby was awarded the young talent prize for best screenplay at the Munich festival in 2014 and nominated for a Grimme Prize.
