Story
Interwoven with magical realism, the film shows the effects of a globalized world of employment. Willy works for a Mexican drug cartel and makes one fatal mistake: he falls in love with Marlena, the wife of his boss. In fear of their lives, the pair go to ground separately. When he hears nothing from her, Willy sets out for Montreal where he assumes Marlena to be. He ends up in rural Quebec and finds a job as a migrant worker – but he’s soon involved in the domestic quarrels of his employer, with serious consequences.
