Synopse
Laia Costa impresses in an intense drama about a young woman’s obsessive affair. Fleeing from her stressful city life, 30-year old Nat ends up in the little town of La Escapa in the Spanish hinterland. In a rundown house in the country, she tries to get a grip on her life. But soon she has to deal with hostility from her landlord and suspicion from the villagers. And when she goes along with her neighbour’s sexual advances, she has to ask herself if she really is the kind of person she thought she was.

ISABEL COIXET (*1960 in Spain) is one of Spain’s best-known directors. In 2003, she celebrated her international breakthrough with the tragicomedy My Life Without Me. Un Amor will be shown in San Sebastian this year.
