Synopse
DOCUMENTARY On August 24th 2022, Ukraine celebrated the 31st anniversary of its independence. The film combines various different places and people to form an impressive mosaic. A day in the life of Ukraine. In a trench on the front in the oblast Donezk and on the beaches of Odessa. In the relatively safe cities of Kyiv and Lviv and in Charkiv and Mykolayiv, which are bombarded by rockets on a daily basis. The film accompanies a police patrol, soldiers from different units, a young bar worker, an artist and a former member of parliament. They all experience Independence Day in different ways and are nevertheless all part of a country in a state of war.
