Synopse
Michael Haneke’s latest work is a dark, apocalyptic drama centering on the question as to how an individual reacts if the conventions of civilisation no longer apply and all that is left is the will to survive. A married couple with children travel to their weekend home to find it occupied by a family of refugees. The intruders shoot the father, then drive off in the car, taking all the food with them. The widow (Isabelle Huppert) has to fend for herself and her children in a village full of refugees. Haneke’s message: in states of emergency, there is no humanity, only violence.
