Synopse
Scandinavian surrealism: In Mikko Myllylahti's debut feature, burning cars drift along remote roads in the Finnish taiga – with no-one at the wheel. Pepe is a lumberjack in an idyllic little town in Finland. Ice fishing, evenings in the pub and the occasional affair are what make up everyday life here. Then, within a few days, his quiet life is turned upside down by a series of tragic events – but Pepe seems to take even the bloodiest incident in his stoical stride. It's almost as if he knows a secret hidden beneath the frozen lakes and endless masses of snow.
