Synopse
His best role since 'Cyrano' was the Cannes critics' verdict of Gérard Depardieu's performance as a nightclub singer crooning after hours in run-down bars. He falls for a much younger woman (captivating: Cécile De France) and this dalliance adds breathtaking melancholy and charming depth to a bittersweet film which is an hommage to the timeless beauty of French chansons, to loneliness, to hope.
