Synopse

A young midwife enmeshes herself in a web of lies. A psychological drama like a jigsaw puzzle, disturbing and moving in equal measure. Lydia loves her job as midwife and performs it with great conscientiousness. But then a break-up and the news that her best friend Salomé is pregnant throw her completely off track. On top of that, she has a one-night stand with Milo, who thereafter wants no contact with her. After Salomé gives birth, Milo and Lydia meet by chance in the hospital lift. This unexpected encounter sets off a spiral that she can no longer control.

Regie

IRIS KALTENBÄCK (*1988 in Paris) studied Screenplay Writing at the Paris film school La Fémis. The Rapture is her debut feature and had its premiere at Cannes in the section Semaine de la critique.
