Synopse

Here’s to the neighbours! The new film from Lars Jessen is a wonderfully quirky comedy about a very special house-share in Hamburg-Barmbek. The inhabitants: Bjarne Mädel and Olli Dittrich. Ralf Prange (Bjarne Mädel) lives on the ground floor and is home all day long. He is thus the perfect “depot” for the whole house. His tiny flat is stacked to the brim with parcels and packages awaiting collection by his neighbours. But then one day love comes calling, in the shape of Dörte (Katharina Marie Schubert), the new parcel deliverer. The gruff, but good-hearted Prange falls for her hook, line and sinker and Dörte also seems interested. But Horst Rohde (Olli Dittrich), Prange’s most irritating neighbour, doesn’t approve at all, especially as he fancies Dörte himself.

Regie

ASSAF BERNSTEIN was born in Israel and studied direction at NYU. He has worked on films and series like The Debt (2007), Allenby Streets (2012) and Look Away (2018). For the Netflix series Fauda, he won the Israeli Academy Award for Best Drama Series in 2016. RANDA CHAHOUD was born in Berlin and is a director, author and producer. Her best-known works are Legal Affairs (FFHH 2021), Deutschland 89 (2020) and Deutsches Haus (2023).
