Synopse
Bouncer Svend (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) is traumatised by his parents’ unhappy marriage and feels himself torn between his mother and his alcoholic, tyrannical father. It is with horror that Svend begins to recognize similarities to his father’s behaviour in the way he treats his girlfriend, Lizzie (Iben Hjejle). If he is to have a chance with Lizzie, he must first straighten out his relationship to his parents... Jesper W. Nielsen’s disturbing drama shows the desperate attempts of a young man to control his chaotic emotions.

Jesper W. Nielsen (*1962) became known in 2009 in Germany through the TV series Der Pakt. The Day Will Come is his first feature film for eight years.
