Synopse
Film-maker Ming Jin Woo combines genre elements, animation and Malayan folklore to form an intriguing narrative experiment. After her sister is killed by her parents in the name of family honour, Zahara flees Indonesia with her niece and lands on a mysterious island in Malaysia. As a migrant, she faces insurmountable obstacles from the authorities, but she finds a refuge on the island in the community of women. One day, a man turns up who claims to be researching the island's turtles. But it soon becomes clear that there are other reasons for his sudden appearance.
