Synopse
Yonkers, New York, in the late 1980s: at 28, Nick Wasicsko (Oscar Isaac) becomes mayor of his home town. But before he can even be inaugurated, Nick is confronted with a court order that will overshadow his life and career: he must build social housing for black citizens in a white middle-class district. HIs efforts to execute the order and fight the prevalent racism tear the community apart, cripple local government and in the end destroy his life and career. Further leading roles are taken by Winona Ryder, Alfred Molina and Jim Belushi. FILMFEST HAMBURG is showing the pilot episode of the series.
