Synopse
Kelly Reichardt's »amazing first film« (Todd Haynes). In her debut film, which was rarely shown in Germany, the director returns to the Florida of her childhood and satirizes the outlaw road movie with subversive humour. Cozy lives near the Everglades, also known as the River of Grass. She is bored with her husband, her children and her existence and would love to leave it all behind. One night in a bar she meets Lee Ray Harold, an unemployed man. They get on well and go swimming in someone’s pool. When Cozy fires a shot with a revolver he found earlier, they think they have killed the pool’s owner – and plan an adventurous escape.
