Synopse

A docudrama about the Nuremburg Trials revolves around two Auschwitz survivors. Ernst Michel (Jonathan Berlin) and Severyna Smaglevska (Katarina Stark) get to know each other during the Nuremburg Trials. Ernst (22) is the youngest journalist present, Severyna a witness. Because of his article, Herrmann Göring (Francis Fulton-Smith) wants to give Ernst an interview. No other journalist will be able to speak to Göring before his execution. But Ernst hesitates: can he face his parents’ murderer? What weighs heavier: the suffering of millions or a worldwide journalistic scoop? The reconstructed scenes of the film are supplemented by newly restored and colourized archive footage and original interviews.

FILMFEST HAMBURG is showing 3 × 25 minutes.
