Synopse

A gripping thriller from Quebec: a teenager gets caught up in the escort business. Noémie, a wilful 15-year old, has lived in a care home for the last three years. When she has to abandon all hope of her mother taking her back, she runs away. Aimlessly roaming around, looking for something that will give her some stability, she meets Léa, a girl she knows from the home, who introduces her to a gang of petty criminals. Noémie soon falls in love with in the extravagant Zach, a brilliant manipulator, who toys with her romantic aspirations and encourages her to go on the game. At first Noémie hesitates, then she says yes.

Regie

After studying film, GENEVIÈVE ALBERT (*1981 in San Francisco) started out making documentaries, took on a role in Cirque du Soleil in 2012 and in 2014 returned to Montreal and to film. Noémie dit oui is her debut feature.
