Synopse
DOCUMENTARY Belgian designer Martin Margiela is the »Banksy of Fashion«. 12 years after his departure from the world stage, he reveals himself to public view – without actually showing himself. He has rarely been photographed and always refused to be interviewed. As a person, Martin Margiela disappeared completely behind his visions. With his brand Maison Margiela, he became one of the most influential designers of his time. But in 2008 he quit haute couture for ever. For the film, Margiela digs into his archives and reflects on his career and his legacy – faceless and with his voice distorted. A fascinating self-portrait of an in every sense extraordinary artist.
