Synopse
A journey between the living and dead: In her latest film, her first with an international cast, Alice Rohrwacher enters the world of Tuscan grave robbers. They all have their own chimera – an illusion that they seek but never find. For the Tombaroli gang, thieves of ancient burial objects and archaeological treasures, the chimera signifies deliverance from work and the dream of easy riches. For Arthur (Josh O’Connor, The Crown), a young Englishman, it looks like a woman he lost: Benjamina. To find her, Arthur tempts the invisible and goes underground – in the search for the door to the Hereafter that the mythology speaks of.
