Synopse
Jauja is a mythical place where happiness and abundance reign. Many expeditions have been sent there, but none has ever returned. Gunnar Dinesen (Viggo Mortensen) is part of a horde of engineers and military on a campaign of extermination against the indigenous population of 19th-century Patagonia. The Dane is accompanied by his 15-year old daughter, who falls in love with a young man and flees. Dinesen is driven half-crazy with worry and sets out to find her on a lonely, hallucinatory journey deep into enemy territory, where time and space seem to blur. Jauja is a directorial masterpiece with fantastic camerawork by Tilo Salminen.
