Synopse
Emma (6) and Sarah Bolger (10) play the sisters Ariel und Christy, who emigrate from Ireland to New York with their parents, Sarah (Samantha Morton) and Johnny (Paddy Considine). Their move is ostensibly to help Johnny’s acting career, but it is more to get away from the past, and the memories surrounding the recent death of Ariel’s and Christy’s brother. In a povertystricken apartment in New York, the family struggle to survive and stay together. Director Jim Sheridan tells the entire story from 10-yearold Christy’s viewpoint as she tries to get over her brother’s death and keep her family together.
