Synopse

The enemy at home: what begins as a love story, turns into a chamber piece about surviving in times of war. A film about hope and despair, based on the actual experiences of Ukrainian civilians. Newly-weds Taras and Olya move into their first flat. But their honeymoon doesn’t last long: Russian troops are heading for Kyiv. Soldiers occupy the couple’s block and set up their HQ. The couple have to hide and keep quiet. Trapped in their own four walls, they become silent witnesses to the violence outside their door.

ZHANNA OZIRNA is a Ukrainian director, screenplay author and curator. Her debut feature film Honeymoon won the Albert Wiederspiel Prize at FILMFEST HAMBURG.
